Happy Father's Day 2011
This past weekend we celebrated and honored the daddy of our family. First the boys surprised him with the gifts they made at school.
The boys were just getting over a week long stomach virus so we decided to keep them home from church just too make sure. We took daddy to brunch at Americas in The Woodlands. They had a Father's Day brunch. I wish that I had more pictures from it. The boys were so handsome but I left the camera in the car. The interior of the restaurant was amazing but it was SO crowded. It was really hard to enjoy because it was packed.. and they didn't do a good job of keeping up with the food and keeping in replenished. We made a quick exit once Beckett decided he had enough.. A couple of pics in the parking lot :-)
When opened the gifts and cards when we got home. The boys enjoyed opening dad's new toy for his smoker. Not that you can improve on his barbecuing perfection so we shall see how it works.
This holiday I am grateful for the amazing men in our lives. My dad (who I missed so much this Sunday) who loves us and provides such a Godly example for my husband, brother, and sweet boys. I am grateful to my husband for the father that he turned out to be. I am in awe of his ability to play and connect with the boys, to handle them with such ease, and to always make life an adventure! I am grateful to my Father in Heaven, who loves me even when I feel unlovable. That shows me true grace and sacrifice of a parent and always wraps me in His loving arms.
