Our One Year Portraits

I haven't shared our 1 year portraits yet because we used some of them for Christmas presents and we didn't want to spoil the surprise!

We also took their Christmas card picture that day. We woke up early and it was a crisp kinda cool morning.  We let them sleep in their reindeer pj's so that they would be ready to go for the first photo.  Eli had a slight blow out that morning so we had to rush and wash & dry his pj's for the photo shoot :-)    We took the red wagon and loaded it up with blankets, diaper bags, changes of clothes.   Aunt Jen met us out at The Woodlands at Riva Town Center Boathouse.  It is such a gorgeous area.  They have these gorgeous weeping willows. I had gotten a soft, white blanket for their pictures.  As soon as we sat them on it, they started giggling and rubbing their feet on it.  Beckett even had slight bed head.. Adorable!

After the Christmas card shoot, we changed into our 2nd outfit of the day.  I had such a hard time deciding what to wear.  They have yet to make pictures in "traditional" outfits and I know they have many many more years of "big boy" clothes.  So I bit the bullet and we did the classic Strasburg Children. I am so glad I did.. they made my eyes water they were so handsome in their black velvet Jon Jon's.  Turned out to be such a classic look with the stone work. I swear I say this every time Jen takes their pictures.. but these really are my favorite :-)

We did one more quick change into their overalls but by the time we did these, they had pretty much had it with us.. the sun had gotten bright and they were so over the photo shoot.  Jen still managed to get some really cute shots..

One year.. as they change quickly, I am blessed to have these beautiful images of these precious boys.  Even now at 14 months, looking back at them again.. I am amazed at how they change.  Of course.. I am already planning the next set of photos :-) !!!
