A Public Vs Private Dilemma
I faced a dilemma in taking the blog private. Apparently this blogger site only allows you to have 100 readers. I have searched and searched for a way around it but to no avail. This seems to be a hot topic on the internet as well and the reason that many bloggers have moved their blogs to other websites. I tried everything around it. Even tried to set up a "fake" username and password that I could give to everyone to use. That didn't work either as it has to be tied to a valid email address.
I never dreamed that I had more than 100 readers! I exceeded the limit basically on the first round of invites and the email addresses just keep pouring in. What an incredible blessing to me to think that so many people enjoy my blog. I have gotten some on the sweetest, most encouraging emails from readers asking to be added and why. I shed some tears over these unexpected blessings.
After much debate, prayer, opinion seeking, and soul searching, I am taking the blog back public. I just feel that the rewards of the blessings I get and from the amazing feedback I have gotten from readers out weighs my initial decision. This may change in the future, I am looking to see about moving it to another hosting site but for now it will stay the same. I removed it from search engines in hope that it won't accidentally come across on a search for a topic. For now, I pray that God will use this to his Glory and not to harm.
Thank you all that emailed me and for everyone that reads this. Please continue to pray for us and the well being of our little family.
