Our First Christmas as Four

What a blessing to spend our first Christmas with our little boys! We were so excited. The boys got up at 7 and we got dressed in our new 1st Christmas outfits that Ma gave us. I got the Christmas tunes going in the nursery and we ate our breakfast. Of course, even with a bip and best intentions Beckett managed to spit up all over his new shirt. So I washed it in the sink and off to the dryer it went. I wrapped him up in his snuggly Pooh Christmas blanket (which he loves!) while we waited on it to dry. Justin was up early after his great day and half of sleeping and was feeling better. We just decided that he could come out of quarantine but still no contact with the boys and continuous washing of hands. He had already built us a fire and got the living room ready. We started by letting our puppies open their stocking and then we did our gifts. The boys got Bumpo seats from Santa. They aren't quite ready to sit in them yet but it won't be long. We had so much fun taking pictures! The boys did great. Eli took a little snooze and Beckett just hung out looking at the lights on the tree. We had such a good time. We drank hot tea and listened to Christmas tunes and enjoyed our little Christmas miracles!

Ma, Dave, and Phyllis arrived right as we finished up our Christmas. We had a great Christmas with Ma. The boys got some great new clothes that actually fit. So many of their clothes are too big because they are just now at 8 weeks the size of an average newborn. But when we get to 3 month sized clothing they are going to have a huge wardrobe :-). She also gave them a little surprise for their savings accounts that we started for them. We opened all the gifts people had been sending the boys that we saved to open. They got some really cute stuff! Our cousins in Tuscaloosa (Bob, Ginger, Bo & Caroline) sent the boys some really great stuff! They got these great Born to Be Bama Fan ornaments with their names and birth dates on the back and these really soft and furry nap blankets. Beckett went ahead and tried his out. It was a hit! After presents, we got started on a great Christmas lunch. Ma's dressing, Alabama butter beans, turnips, sweet potatoes, and Texas Cajun Turkey. Yummy! After Christmas lunch, came Christmas naps and watching Christmas movies on TV. After a full day of activities we all slept good!

Christmas is not quite over for us either. The Roberts Family will be headed our way on Monday afternoon and I am looking forward to spending some time with them. I know they missed the boys this Christmas Day.
