Roberts Christmas Visit

The Roberts family Christmas visit started off with a little sad/bad news. Jesse (their foster daugther) had RSV the week prior. RSV is very serious in infant and young children and with the possible risk of the boys getting the virus, Jesse wasn't able to make the trip. She was still doing breathing treatments so Mom didn't feel comfortable enough leaving her behind with someone. So Mom stayed home and Dad and Gracie headed off for a father/daughter trip to Texas. We are glad to have them visit but we miss our Dee Dee!

Gracie (Aunt GG) has had a blast so far helping out with the babies. She has given them bottles and helped with their baths. I even caught her and her friend Giselle from next door taking a "nap" with Eli! He certainly seems to like it :-)

We did Christmas on Tuesday night and had a blast! We made a video for Dee Dee and the boys - fresh off a bath had lots and lots of smiles. Justin's highlight of the evening was his bug zapper. He has been asking for one and looking for one ever since we moved to Houston and encountered the dinosaur size bugs! Mom had to find one on the Internet. Apparently they are not a popular Christmas item :-) He was so excited about it that he tried to hang it inside since it was rainy and cold outside. I received a gift that everyone that reads my blog will now be subjected too - a digital video camera! I am so excited. Now I can upload videos to my computer and put them on the blog. I know all the family back in Alabama will be thrilled :-) to see the boys milestones and funny moments. Another Christmas of firsts for the boys. They got their first baseball bat from Dee Dee and Poppy. I have it propped up in the bedroom right next to their first fishing poles.

That's a wrap on an amazing first Christmas with our little boys. We thank God for the reason to celebrate the season - His Son and thank him for making this Christmas so special for us - our sons. The boys are incredibly blessed to have a such a loving, generous family of grandparents, great grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and so many friends that have made this holiday special for all of us. Looking forward to many many more memories to come.
