A Blessed 2009
I have been thinking about my last post for 2009. I looked back through all my pictures, read my old blog posts, and my prayer journal. The only word that I can use to sum up this year is BLESSED! What a year of answered prayers, first moments, and emotional memories.
We started off the year celebrating in San Antonio. We loved touring Texas wine country, building friendships that will last a lifetime, touring the city. We joined an amazing church and Sunday morning Bible study. We prayed to find a great new specialist and rejoyced over the news that we were pregnant! We were thrilled over the news of twins and shocked to find out we were expecting triplets! I turned 30 with a great trip to Alabama with friends and family. We bought a new house for our expanding family and moved to a great area of Houston. We finally sold the house in Troy, AL. Saddened, we grieved and mourned the loss of our precious baby C, our little girl. We had a blast decorating the nursery and preparing for the babies. We anxiously made it through 6 weeks of bed rest to welcome 2 healthy twin baby boys into the world. The last 2 months of 2009 has been a whirl wind of family and friends caring for us as we adjust to being parents and raising twins.
As I look back over the year, it is evident God's hand in every up and every down of the year. He was there when we prayed and chose to follow Him to Houston. He was there when we prayed to find new friends and a church home. He was there when we prayed to find the right doctor and treatment plan. He was there when we got the phone call with the good news, and He was there at the doctor when we got the sad news of our baby girl. He was there at 3 am when I couldn't sleep and my heart cried out. He was there when my blood pressure went up and cleared the way for me to be off work. He provided for us during my leave. He was in the delivery room. He was in the NICU with Beckett. And He continues to be with us at 2 am feedings when we are so tired. I see Him everytime I look into the sweet eyes of my boys. I don't know what 2010 will bring, but I know He will be there and that is all I need. He is my strength and my salvation.

God in my living
There in my breathing
God in my waking
God in my sleeping
God in my resting
There in my working
God in my thinking
God in my speaking
Be my everything
Be my everything
Be my everything
Be my everything
God in my hoping
There in my dreaming
God in my watching
God in my waiting
God in my laughing
There in my weeping
God in my hurting
God in my healing
Christ in me
Christ in me
Christ in me the hope of glory
You are everything
Christ in me
Christ in me
Christ in me the hope of glory
Be my everything

The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. From this fullness of His grace we have received
