Goodbye Summer and Hello Football!

Every year I am always sad at the passing of summer.  The long days in the sun, the swimming, the flip flops, and pool every weekend.  This year... not so  I say "goodbye summer" Goodbye record heat.  Goodbye triple digits (please? I hope so anyway!)

We finally got a cool front through here that knocked it down about 10 degrees and I feel every one of those degrees in sweet relief.  And guess what the end of summer means?  The start of football!  Friday was kicked off the official football Friday at my work and the boys school.  Don't you love these sweet little Bama fans?

Saturday after the game we had such a fun afternoon.  The ice cream truck was heard in our neighborhood and Justin said "grab your camera and grab a boy".  After chasing down the elusive truck, the boys got their first neighborhood ice cream.

We settled on 2 Scooby Doo ice creams.  Yummo.   We sat on the curb and enjoyed the ice cream and afternoon. We participated in a neighborhood fundraiser and we get a flag in our yard for 9 holidays a year.  We love looking up and down the street and seeing them waving in the wind.  I mean.. how good do they make this ice cream look?

Needless to say we took a bath before our friends arrived.  We had a great afternoon visiting with The Galloway's.  Watching the 4 boys play together is so much fun.  I swear every toy, game, book, cup, tupperware, etc was pulled out and thoroughly enjoyed.  I was proud of Beckett & Eli for sharing so well.  When they got ready to leave Eli waved and said "bye bye Dax" Beckett was so upset.  When he realized they were pulling out of the driveway he started crying.  When we brought him inside he stood by the door crying.  He did not want his friends to go.  We had a great afternoon  of friends, little ones, and tons of laughter.

With the fabulous weather we go in some great outdoor play time, some amazing time at the park and we tried to swim.  Although a little cold.. we might be approaching the end of swimming.  I don't know but I will leave you with this.

THE CUTEST END :-)

Love,
