6 Years Later
We celebrated our 6 year anniversary on Friday, December 17th. Justin's parents were here so the stayed with the boys. My parents sent us an anniversary card with a surprise inside that allowed us to go to a really yummy nice dinner. We stayed in town in the Galleria area for a quick overnight stay. Our hotel had resident swans.. Pa & Gram.
Our hotel had happy hour complimentary drink and appetizers. Justin brought me a "seafood fish platter" Ha! I lauged so hard. Eli and Beckett would have loved it!
Then we moved on to the real dinner. The hotel shuttle dropped us right off at the front door. We went to the piano bar before for appetizers and drinks. The service was amazing. But not as amazing as the house specialty... Stone Crabs!
So incredibly yummy. Melt in your mouth goodness. For entree we had Hawaiin sesame tuna in a brown butter sauce that was to die for with a side of King Crab macaroni.. yummers. We ordered the chocolate bag for desert. It was literally a bag made out of chocolate filled with homemade cream and berries. It was huge!
A crazy surprise.. we ran into the directors of our boys Montessori school. He said of my two little ones that "rarely do little ones their age have such bold, unique personalities" :-) They were celebrating 12 years together and they chatted with us a bit.. a few minutes later a bottle of champaigne was sent over.. from them. Cheers! What a great way to end an amazing dinner and evening.
Wow! How great it felt to relax, take our time, enjoy each other, and just spend some time together. At least once a year.. right? Ha! After 6 years, 2 kids, 2 dogs, many moves, new jobs, ups and downs, and tons of craziness that life throws at you, were are still going strong. Love you babe!
