Daddy Day/Mommy Day

Last weekend, the boys had mommy/daddy time. I had to work on Saturday so Justin had the boys all day.  The first thing he said when I was leaving "we are not staying in this house all day!"

So they headed out to Trader's Village.  We have never been there before though we pass it all the time and comment that we would like to. It's a flea market.  Not just any flea market.. a Texas size flea market. 150 acres with over 1500 vendors.  They happened to go on the day of the 20th Annual Texas Champion Pow Wow.  Dad sent me a picture .. the boys loved the Native Americans historic dress.  And all the noises.  Beckett will now put his hand over his mouth and called the "Indians".

No day with daddy is complete without a trip for a special treat.. Fresh Berry and afternoon at the grocery store sampling.  They even came by work to say hi to mommy!

The next day mommy took a turn and got really brave.  I took both boys to the Houston Galleria by myself.  We were on a mission to find outfits for our 1 year portraits.  The Galleria in itself is a small city.  But we did great!  We went to Janie & Jack and looked around...told the lady we would probably be back and headed off to Children's place.  We were trying on boots and then I looked down, and Jack the dog from Janie & Jack was in our stroller getting loved on by Beckett.  I remember Eli playing with it but we made it out of the store.  Back we went to return our stowaway! I took the boys to see the ice skaters and then got the crazy idea to eat lunch at Chili's.  Yes, just the 3 of us.. and you know what?  We had a blast!  I even got to eat and enjoy a beverage while the boys ate grilled chicken & mash potatos.  Eli could not take his eyes of the skaters long enough to eat!  When we got home, they both slept almost 3 hours.. whew.  Shopping makes mommy very tired too!

We have also been doing some shopping for our Christmas list.  Both of us LOVE taking the boys to Toys R Us.  And they opened a new superstore right by our house.  Dangerous for us. Dangerous for visiting grandparents too!  Here are pics of our top 2 items for Santa!  Our letters are on the way to the North Pole.
