Dewberry Pumpkin Patch

This past weekend our boys had their first annual trip to the pumpkin patch!  We got a great deal at Groupon and we both got in for the price of one.  Mom, Dad & Gracie were here too which made the trip so much fun!

The Dewberry farm is located in Brookshire, Texas which is about 45 minutes away.  We took the "long" way there so the boys could get a good nap in... and I am glad they did.  Because the day was action packed!  We got in line (which lived up to the reputation of being insane) and headed in.

I have to admit, I was a bit overwhelmed at first.  Just so much to take in.  Kids running everywhere!!  We got our map out and started walking and boy did we find the fun.  Let me just show you the map.

The boys loved our first stop at the singing chickens - they did a great rendition of Old McDonald's farm that brought down the house :-)

Then on to one of our favorites of the day.. the goats!  Seriously, my eyes were watery over the insane amount of cuteness. First of all, how cute are their little tiny rears in their new baby jeans?  They had a little machine that we put quarters into and we got our  "goat feed".  The boys had a blast hanging on to the fence and feeding goats.  Eli literally laughed out loud at the goats licking the food off his hands. It takes a lot to get this huge Eli smile but his friend the goat made him smile.

After feeding we stopped by Beckett's favorite attraction.  The hand washing station.  Now if you had told me before I had kids, that I would take this many pictures of my little man washing his hands, I would laugh at you.  But really.. its so cute!  How can he be so big to stand up there and play & wash his little tiny hands?

On to more fun!  A trip through the animal barn where we say a rabbit, farmer Mike, geese (scared Eli), pigs, cows, turkeys, and baby chickens.

After lunch at the Pavilion we headed to find a wagon to ride.  The wagons are pulled by tractors and we got right up front.  Eli & Beckett held on to the wagon and ate tractor dust the whole ride! And loved every minute of it :-)

A trip through the corn maze and we were all hot & exhausted.

Justin had a great idea though and waited in a long, hot, dusty line to get us SNOW CONES!  We found a shady spot, stretched out, let the boys crawl around and see what they thought about this delicious treat.  Poppy couldn't feed it to them fast enough :-)

It was the perfect end to a perfect pumpkin patch day!

Love, The Riley's
