The Riley Cabin Then... Back To The Real World

Before heading home, we headed north to Alabama to visit Justin's grandparents and spend an afternoon at the Riley cabin.  We made a stop by David's catfish because really... what trip to South Alabama is complete without their famous fried catfish.  It was hit!

They boys spent the afternoon swimming at Gantt with their Big Poppa and Daddy.  Then Ma, Dave, Nana, and Papa joined us for some delicious BBQ.  Finished off with lots of playing with our great grandparents and Big Poppa's homemade ice cream! (Spoiled.. totally spoiled we are :-)

It was fun to all fly together as a family.  (and much much easier)  The boys were so tired that they slept most of the way back.  Then they waited and helped me watch the bags while we waited on Dad to go get the car.

Even though our vaction was full of great fun and memories, there truly is no feeling than returning to your home after being gone for 9 days.  The dogs were well taken care of (they had been swimming at the neighbors) the house was perfect, and we were blessed with safe travels.  The boys were so excited to see their toys!

We are incredibly blessed and thank God everyday for His grace and the ability to take our family on vacation.  To pause from life and spend time just enjoying His creation and our family.   The 1st annual Riley vacay was a huge success!  (and you know I am already planning next year!!)

Love,
The Riley's
