We LOVE Waterparks, Ice Cream & Grandparents

Last week was a huge week of first.  We visited our first waterpark.  Poppy, Dee Dee, & Aunt GG were in town so we took the boys to Schlitterbahn Galveston.  Justin took a much needed "baby break" and spend the day with the boys playing golf and the Roberts crew headed to ride some slides!   I was super impressed with the park.  It was clean. It was A BLAST!!!   It was difficult to get a lot of pictures while wet and handling 2 babies but I got a few.

They have an "indoor" baby area where we camped out for the morning. Then they have several outdoor baby areas. I loved that each baby area is surrounded by big rides so we could set up home base and then take turns riding adult rides too. I managed to tackle the 60 ft 30 mph drop slide..even though I was so sore on Monday at work!  The boys loved the slides and treasure ship.  Even though mom was a nervous wreck the whole time they were sliding!

They had these floats that the front part said "25 lbs or less" so we strapped the boys in their life jackets and got ready to "float the river".  Beckett wasn't a fan and fell asleep!  But Eli LOVED it.  He wore his little life vest, propped up in the front of the raft and hit the river.  He was a cool as a cucumber.  Fell asleep several times but always woke up to laugh when we hit the wave pool!

The adventures continued during the week after I went back to work.  They all took the boys to the Blue Bell ice cream creamery here in Brenham Texas.  Of course.. we love ice cream.  Blackberry cobbler was a huge favorite as was the newest flavor.. kettle corn.  They don't allow cameras but fortunately Justin was able to snap a few on his phone because seriously.. how can you resist with these hats.  I hear that you shouldn't get near their spoons while eating ice cream.. and the yum sounds could be heard miles away :-)

The boys loved spending time playing and hanging out with their grandparents.  When they were supposed to be getting ready for bed, I heard all kinds of squealing and laughing coming from the nursery.  I walk in and this is what I find! Rocking in the glider together.

Eli loves reading Dee Dee's magazine

Beckett loves Poppy's horsey and airplanes.

We loved to pushed in our car!

We are blessed to have family and grandparents (on both sides) that love us and love our boys.  I am thankful that they can grow up with such wonderful relationships in their lives. I know this is the first of many many adventures to come!
