The Boys First Road Trip
We were dying to go to Austin and see the Galloways. We also have friends, The Cullen's, who live in Austin. We met them through mutual friends on a trip to St. Thomas. They had the pleasure of living there and we had the pleasure of visiting and meeting them. Since that meeting 3 years ago, they lived in San Francisco and then recently moved to Austin. This was our first chance to see them since we've been a little busy :-)
So we made plans to head over Friday evening and stay with them. Then go see the boys on Saturday. I ended up working 12 hour days on Wednesday and Thursday but Friday, I got up early and went into work so I could leave early and get on the road. Well.. at 10:00am I get new that my branch is being audited on Monday! My boss came to my branch and we worked until 7:30pm Friday night. Then I get home and Oyster (my furry baby) had jumped through a glass window in our garage and cut her leg up. By the time we left home with 2 screaming babies, it was getting late. Of course, we needed gas so we stopped outside of Houston to get gas and decided to feed the babies. Well, Justin got so involved in helping me feed the babies that he drove off with the gas pump still attached to the car!
We finally make it to Austin close to midnight. We were excited to see our friends. Once we got the boys in bed, we stayed up way too late catching up with each other. The boys had a hard time going to bed but once they did, they slept so good. We had a great time visiting and playing with the boys the next morning. They have a tiny baby named Zola.. she loves her babies. She kissed them and licked them and they would just smile and laugh (most of the time) After a delicious breakfast of yummy quiche and fruit salad, we said our good byes and headed to the hospital.

And did I mention that the boys were wearing their new flip flops?? They are so cute. They were rocking their new cargos and flip flops. Love it! The weather is insanely gorgeous here right now. Upper 70's .. breezy.. dogwoods are blooming.. anywho.
It was wonderful to see The Galloway's. And our visiting twins caused lots of attention since The Galloway's now have twin boys too. We each had the honor of going to the NICU and meeting Dax and Beau. They are beautiful. So incredibly small.. Of course, I cried. I just can't believe something that tiny can be so perfect. It was an emotional trip for me too. Brought back tons of memories of seeing Beckett like that and all we went through while we were there. Please check out their blog when you have time and see the precious pics of their little ones. http://gallowaymiracles.blogspot.com
We spent the afternoon hanging out and then headed back to Houston. A quick stop for dinner in Brenham and then home to get my sweet boys in bed. Our first road trip and spend the night party turned out well. We are thinking we might just be getting a handle on this thing..... or maybe not :-) Ha!
