Mommy's Weekend 2014

My mother's day weekend kicked off on Thursday when I picked up 2 cuties from school.  They couldn't wait to show their mommy what they made at school.

After gymnastics on Friday, the boys "treated" me to lunch at one of my favorite places from home that just opened here in Houston, Another Broken Egg.  I have to tell you, those beignets didn't stand a fighting chance.

What better way to celebrate Mother's day weekend than with a little adult fun for mom and dad?  The boys got their favorite friend Rima to come play and we headed out to dinner at probably one of the best restaurants I have ever eaten at.. Liberty Kitchen.

chargrilled jalapeno bacon jam oysters.  Yep.
In keeping with a little balance, we took the boys to the cutest birthday party for their friends Emily & Luke on Saturday morning.  Pony rides, petting zoo, bandanas, face painting, photo booth, cowboy hats, and take home horses.. these kids enjoyed everything it had to offer!

Dad took the boys out shopping after the party and I for a pedicure treat.  I beat them home and got an hour by the pool just relaxing and reading.  Now that, is Mother's Day :-)  When they got home they couldn't wait to give me my new gifts!  A float and a chair for the pool.  How much fun these will be this summer.

On Sunday morning,  the boys gave me a card that well, confirmed that they think I am super mom.

We had a busy day at church, Justin served on the parking team and I had a full day including post script.

When I got home, all 3 of my boys had lunch ready for me.  And they served me by the pool.

Not a single Mother's Day goes by that I don't think about our struggle with infertility and how hard that period was.  During my quiet time Mother's Day morning, God breathed peace and comfort into my soul.

Today. Tomorrow. Always.

Love,
