Our First Riley Christmas Party

We had a party!  A "birthday party" as my sweet boys call it no matter what.  What started as an idea to get together a couple of our friends and there kids that are always so busy turned into a wonderful Christmas gathering off our Houston friends.  With tons of kids!  Sometimes I get frustrated by all the toys and the "kid friendly" of our house versus the "sophisticated adult house" but it rocked for the party with 12 kids under 6 included 3 sets of twins!

The boys were so excited to wake up front nap and find that the jumper had arrived.  And it was Cars.  Their favorite.  Score!

The jumper kept them entertained for the most part.  That and running back and forth from outside to inside to playroom and all over again.

Justin and I made Buffalo Chicken sliders and his famous pulled pork sliders.  A couple of appetizers and a delicious champagne punch.  Every couple at the party brought a dish which made for an awesome delicious spread and variety.

After our guest started arriving with amazing plates

Probably because they gotten eaten so fast I did not get a picture of Leah's MVP winning contribution.. Pumpkin Whoopie Pies.  Here is one in Justin's hand below.  And our great friends The Fryar's had pictures and posted them on their blog HERE.

Look at all our sweet friends!

Baby Max.. love him!

Dax is telling Max something for sure!

Sweet baby Lily

Kara and her precious twin girls

Beau, Beckett and Eli on the other side getting into trouble I am sure!

And I even got my little ones to stand by the Christmas tree for me before the party.  Cheese!

Love how the decorations turned out.  See some of the preparations HERE

I took a hint from my good friend at CASA CULLEN and decided to use a bowl to display the Christmas cards that arrived already.  I took a Lenox Butler's pantry bowl that I received for my wedding years ago, tied some red burlap around each end to match my theme and made a cute display for my cards!

What's a party with out favors and games?  The kiddos got little Santa bags filled with balls, bubbles, fruit snacks, and tiny treasures.  The adult families each got a personalized ornament that I made with the initial monogram for their family with the year.

Kids loved the crafts!  We made foam stockings and Christmas trees and had tons of cute foam stickers shaped like ornaments, lights, presents, candy canes, and Christmas shapes.  Fun times.  I mean, for the kids :-)

We have been in Houston for 3 years this Christmas.  We are blessed that God has brought so many great friends and relationships in our life in the 3 years that we have been there.  And that he has brought little miracles into not only our lives but the lives of our close friends.  We look forward to cherishing the memories of these sweet ones growing up together and many more Christmases together.

Love,
