Going to See Santa Clause
Last year the visit to Santa Claus was rough. This year my mom and dad tried to take them in The Woodlands and it didn't happen. They wouldn't even get close. This year I started early reading books to them about Christmas. We have a Santa Claus book and a Baby Jesus book. I also have a really cool kids book that relates the traditions of Christmas to the symbolism of the birth of Christ. So we read these books, we play with our Santa Claus, we drive around in the neighborhoods and see look at Santa Claus. Or as Becket says "keeka Cause" So cute!
We went to the same area near our house that we went to last year. I started giving the boys fruit snacks in the car to get them in good moods. We were so lucky that there was no line at all. They peeked in at Santa and he waved and started talking to them. Then Justin asked them if Santa Claus could have a fruit snack. Eli thought that was a GREAT idea! He goes running inside and takes Santa Claus a fruit snack. He even said "hey Santa Claus". Then he was off again. After this a few times we convinced Beckett to go too.
Then Santa made the move. He grabbed them both and pulled them on his lap. Eli wasn't quite sure and had a very serious look. Beckett whimpered for a minute and then the big tears started :-(
When you get your picture made there they have complimentary carriage rides. The boys loved the horse. He had bells on too so as the horse went trotting the bells started. Melt my heart both my sweet boys sang jingle bells with me. In the cutest voices ever. Really. Ever.
But really we could have just skipped all that and played in the fountains. By far their favorite part of the day.

A wonderful Texas Christmas afternoon.
