He Is Risen!! Easter 2011
Easter morning came early for us (we went to Em's wedding the night before). Justin, Poppy, and JB went to sunrise service at Campground early while we stayed home to get the boys ready. We all went to church with my Ma at Dozier Baptist and her church starts at 9:15 so it was a whirlwind morning. The boys were PRECIOUS in their Easter outfits. We had the pants made by Justin's cousin in North Carolina and they ended up turning out great.
The service was great and it was so good to see so many people from my childhood. My mom said it reminded her so much of when I was little and they always took me to Ma's for Easter. Ms Diane met us at the door with sweet stuffed animals for the boys. Beckett loved on his during church. The boys did pretty good. We ended up taking Eli out because he was WILD. He walked down the aisle and said "bye bye" while wiggling the door knob :-) That was after he crawled under the pew to actually get to the aisle. He was quite the distraction so he and daddy spent some time playing out front. My brother sang "Because He Lives" and there wasn't a dry eye in the place. God is really using him and his talents. Its beautiful to see and hear.
After church we headed home and the boys went down for nap while we had a HUGE Easter feast. My mom & family always have the BEST SPREAD for holidays and this year was no exception. Poppy's prime rib was the talk of lunch.
After lunch and some really good naps, we did the Easter bunny and egg hunt. The boys had a great time with their bunny presents... great time trying to through them all in the pool!! I was so nervous the whole time we were opening that I had to look through my basket again later to remember :-)
They LOVE hunting eggs. They applied all the lessons they had learned the day before and really got after it at the Roberts house. Eli perfected his egg opening face. It was the HIGHLIGHT of my egg hunting this time. Every egg he opened. Look how precious -
He & Beckett really go into egg hunting. Eli was shaking trees and in the bushes like he saw his daddy do! Beckett kept crawling under the bushes too. He really was just interested in eating the jelly beans out :-)
After the golden egg was found.. Eli loaded up his eggs in his tractor to finish off a great day!
