Riley Design Star
Since moving into our house last month, we have been in a constant state of projects. Which is fun for us now, after 
renting for a year and half, we are excited to make this one our own. We put in new carpet which was badly needed. We put granite counter tops in the kitchen and in the bathrooms. I have to say, hubby did all the designing and leg work and it turned out fabulous! He was ordering everything when I was in the first trimester and the only thing I could say, was "I don't care, whatever you want". Usually in between napping and throwing up! He chose the vessel sinks forthe bathroom and I was hesitant about that. But I love them! They are crackled glass and they look great on the black granite. After the countertops came, Justin had a great idea for the backsplash in the kitchen. We had tossed the decorative tin arou
nd before in a previous house but went with tile. Justin finished putting it up Saturday and it looks great. Last night, I was watching the new episode of HGTV Design Star and the challenge was to redesign a kitchen. And there was our backsplash! Not only did they use it, the competitor who used it got mucho acolades. So cool. My hubby is Design Star :-)
