The Big Easy


Another Christmas present Justin received from his parents is the Charbroil Big Easy Greaseless Fryer. I must admit I was skeptical at first. Greaseless frying? No such thing. It is so cool. It runs on propane and cooks with "infra red heat". I am a believer :-) We have cooked whole chicken and turkey which had fabulous crispy skin but was juicy inside. My favorite so far has been the rib roast. It made the best prime rib it had the herb crust on top and was nice and rare on the inside. Today we are trying lamb loin. Seriously, everyone needs this. It is so easy!
All you do is marinate or inject meat, put the dry rub on, drop the meat in the basket and the basket in the The Big Easy. Stick the meat thermometer in and wait until the desired temp. It also can be used for vegetables but we haven't bought the tray to cook those in yet. But we will!
